I hear you on habits and production. I’m in a bit of a slump in terms of writing, now, and every excuse is in my favor — needing to find a job, needing to get grading done, moving — but there’s also the cop-out of noobness.

Speed — sometimes it’s a blessing. Sometimes. But getting the thing out is important, and sometimes speed is the only way to get around back to revisions, so keeping on kicking that soccer ball and seeing how it works out sounds like a good idea.
